At Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology, most of the students agreed that the 1992 Constitution revision was necessary in order to match the new situation and catch up with other development trends in the world. According to them, some articles in the Constitution needed to be clarified and explained in a more precise and scientific manner. Tran Thi Cam Tu, a student of Binh Duong University for Economics and Technology, said: "In the draft amendment of the 1992 Constitution, there is a statement that “ the children have the right to receive protection, care and education from the family, the State and society. I think that’s not enough. We should also add the State assures that children should go to school at the eligible age”.

Regarding the articles relating to human rights, basic rights and duties of the citizens and the State apparatus, student Nguyen Thai Tuong Vi, from Thu Dau 1 University, Binh Duong province, said: "Article 18 states “The Socialist Republic of Vietnam protects Vietnamese citizens in foreign countries”. I think that this should include not only Vietnamese citizens in foreign countries but also here in our own country. Regarding the statement in Article 34 that “Everyone has right to do business”, we should alter this to “everyone has right to trade legal items”.
