Successful RadioAsia 2013

(VOVworld) – Dozens of presentations and lively discussions on radio industry issues at Radio Asia 2013 have provided useful information to regional broadcasters. The 3-day conference, hosted for the first time by Radio the Voice of Vietnam, concluded Wednesday. Professor Martin Hadlow, Secretary General of the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), announced a successful event and applauded the Vietnamese government’s support for radio and VOV’s contributions to this conference.

At working sessions, attendees agreed on the importance of content renovation, greater interactivity with the audience, and specialized programs for different groups of listeners, particularly youths. They praised the development of information technology and social media as momentum for radio to grow stronger. Radio Asia 2013 enabled Vietnamese broadcasters to learn from countries running the world’s leading radio network.
