(VOVWORLD) - Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for a suicide attack that took place on Monday targeting the Nahrawan area southeast of Baghdad, which killed 11 people and injured 31.
Security forces killed three of the attackers while the remaining two suicide bombers detonated their explosive charges.
Earlier this month, ISIS carried out a suicide attack targeting a checkpoint of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the area between the Conico and Jafra energy fields in eastern Syria, which killed 35 civilians.
