(VOVWORLD) -The second “Summer Yoga Festival” took place over the weekend in Ha Long City of northern Quang Ninh Province, attracting the participation of 70 yoga clubs and 2,000 domestic and foreign practitioners.

The event aims to honor International Yoga Day on June 21 and to raise public awareness about health benefits associated with yoga.
The highlights of the festival were the yoga performance by 2,000 people with the background music “Ha Long, the Memory of the Sea” and workshops on yoga for a better life.
The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the best performing clubs. Mai Chang YSK Hanoi Club won first prize. Second and third prizes went to Thanh Nga Yoga Club and Huong Yen YSK Hai Duong Club. There were also six consolation prizes.
