Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of the municipal People's Committee, made the statement at Tuesday’s reception for chairman of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Singapore Jan Stjernstrom who is leading a delegation of Swedish enterprises to seek cooperation opportunities and investment expansion in HCMC.

Mr. Phong said he hopes that Swedish enterprises will cooperate with the city in the health sector so that it can acquire technology transfer, new health management models and enhance the capacity of medical workers.

The city leader also called for Swedish investment in smart city development, waste treatment and seaport development, among others, adding that local authorities will create optimal conditions for Swedish firms to do business there.
