(VOVWORLD) - Syria's army reclaimed al-Jarrah airbase in northern province of Aleppo from the Islamic State on Saturday.

The government forces will continue attacking IS-held regions to broaden their control range in Eastern Alleppo. The army is heading to Maskanah and has regained control of a large suburban area in the east of Damascus capital city.
