Syrian troops captured five key villages in heavy fighting Sunday in the strategic province of Homs near the Lebanese border. Government troop fought 500 rebels who had attacked Al Daba airport and killed 100 gunmen. Syria accused the US administration of “adding fuel to the fire” of Syria’s internal conflict by doubling its aid for Syria’s opposition force. The US announced at the Syria’s Friend conference that it will double aid for Syria’s opposition force but did not mention direct weapon supply or military intervention into Syria.
