Telemor urged to contribute to Temor Leste's digital transformation

(VOVWORLD) - Special envoy of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, who visited to Timor Leste on August 30-31, affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Timor Leste.

Mr. Hung, who is also Vietnamese Minister of Information and Communications, attended the 20th anniversary of a referendum on Timor Leste’s independence and a parliament’s plenary meeting, and visited the office of Telemor – a subsidiary of Vietnam’s Viettel telecoms group in Timor-Leste.

He said Telemor should continue to improve its telecommunication quality to maintain its No 1 position in Timor Leste and support the Temor Leste government in digital transformation and cyber security.

He asked Telemor to work closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Telecommunications to send Vietnamese experts to Timor Leste to help in capacity building, management, and digital transformation.
