Tet celebrations in Malaysia, South Korea

(VOV) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia held an end-of-year party on Sunday to welcome the lunar New Year (Tet) holiday. The event was attended by 350 representatives from the Embassy’s staff and their families, Vietnamese associations and agencies, and overseas Vietnamese living and studying in Malaysia.

Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thao highlighted Vietnam’s remarkable achievements over the past year and the Vietnamese-Malaysian relationship’s productive development—especially in the fields of trade and economics. He also unveiled a detailed plan for celebrating 2013’s 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Malaysia diplomatic ties. Various events will be held in both countries to mark the occasion,, including a photography exhibition and a tourism and trade fair.

On Monday, a delegation from the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea led by Ambassador Tran Trong Toan  has extended festive greetings in person to two Vietnamese-Korean families in Ansan City.
