Tet gifts given to disadvantaged people in Son La’s remote areas

(VOVWORLD) -500 gifts were delivered to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and households with extremely difficult circumstances in Phu Yen district, Son La province at the weekend, as Lunar New Year (Tet) is two weeks away.

The Humanitarian Television Center and the People's Committee of Son La province organized the annual program to help disadvantaged locals and those in remote, difficult area have a happy Tet.

This year's program called "Tet of Compatriots" worth more than 81,000 USD is co-sponsored by the Friendship Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HD Bank), and Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank).

Other activities include free medical examination and medicine; Tet fair with goods sold at zero VND; presenting 130 gifts presented to students and teachers of Huy Tan Primary and Secondary School; giving social insurance books given to 20 extremely difficult households; and recreating the cultural space of the traditional Tet holiday.
