(VOVworld)-National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan welcomed preparations for festivals honoring legendary national heroes.

She told representatives of the Vietnam Center on Cultural Preservation and Development and Hung Vuong Culture Research Center on Thursday that the festivals reflect the public respect for history and their ancestors while educating Vietnamese people on national patriotism, unity and national defense. She called for more activities to stimulate national pride and more participation by researchers, artists and scholars to develop Vietnam’s fine cultural values and identities.
