Thua Thien-Hue leads PAPI 2021
(VOVWORLD) - The central province of Thua Thien-Hue was the leading locality in Vietnam according to the 2021 Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) released on Tuesday.

PAPI is a flagship governance program initiated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Vietnam since 2009. It measures and benchmarks citizens’ experiences and perception on performance and quality of policy implementation and services delivery of all 63 provincial administrations in Vietnam to advocate for effective and responsive governance.
PAPI 2021 showed improvements in public service delivery, environmental governance, and e-governance in 30 provinces and cities.
UNDP Resident Representative Caitlin Wiesen said she hopes PAPI 2021 will be helpful for Vietnam’s law making this year.
