PM Chinh said the planning aims to make Tien Giang an industrial province with synchronous and modern infrastructure, locomotive regions, and economic and tourism centers.

To this end, Tien Giang needs to mobilize and utilize all resources to bolster consumption, investment,  exports, digital transformation, and green transition; and promote the circular, knowledge-based, green, and sharing economies, and climate change resilience, PM Chinh said.

Other tasks include improving people's knowledge, training high-quality human resources; nurturing talents; ensuring social security; and strengthening regional, national, and international connectivity through transportation systems, production, and supply chains.

It is also essential to boost the development of strategic infrastructure and cultural, educational, and healthcare infrastructure, especially transportation and climate change response infrastructure. Tien Giang should also enhance industrial development to serve agricultural production; push up the application of science and technology and innovation in production and business; and create more jobs and livelihoods for the people, the PM noted.

At the conference, Tien Giang authorities handed over investment approval decisions and investment registration certificates to 14 projects with a combined capital of more than 868 million USD.
