Trump: US pullout from Syria will be planned carefully
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump tweeted on Monday that the fight against IS has not ended and the US’s withdrawal from Syria will be carried out carefully.
Trump’s statement was made following backlash from US allies after he said IS had been defeated and the US would pull out of Syria very soon.
Last week, a high-ranking official in the US State Department said the US has not created a timetable for the withdrawal but doesn’t intend to stay in Syria.
