Turkey, Russia discuss use of Idlib airspace

(VOVWORLD) - Turkey's Defence Minister Hulusi Akar told news media on Thursday that Turkey and Russia are discussing the use of Syrian airspace over Idlib.

He said Russian and Turkish officials had a “healthy dialogue” about Idlib, but Turkey will reject any proposal to move its observation posts in the region.
Akar said Turkey plans to continue its joint patrols with Russian forces, adding that Turkey does not wish to confront Russia over attacks in Idlib by Syrian government forces.
