Two foreigners awarded honorary citizenship title of Thua Thien-Hue Province
(VOVWORLD)-Andrea Teufel, Chief Representative of the German Association for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage, and Kazuyo Watanabe, CEO of the Asian Children’s Care League, received honorary citizenship titles from the central Province of Thua Thien-Hue at a ceremony on Thursday.

The awards demonstrate local recognition for Ms. Teufel who has made great contributions to the preservation and restoration of the local heritage sites. Ms. Watanabe, a Japanese woman, was honored for supporting children with cancer in Thua Thien-Hue.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, March 8, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Phuong sent his best wishes to the two honorary citizens, and expressed his hope that they will continue making further contributions to building Thua Thien-Hue Province into a developed and sustainable community.
Both recipients said they are proud of the title and wished to do more for the local heritage restoration and preservation work, and also continue to increase the survival rates among children with cancer in the future.
