UK Home Office senior official savors coffee in downtown Hanoi

(VOVWORLD) - UK Home Office Permanent Under-Secretary Matthew Rycroft visited Hanoi's Old Quarter on Tuesday on the sideline of his two-day visit to Vietnam on bilateral migration cooperation.

Rycroft and his entourage enjoyed drinks at a street-side café in Cau Go Alley near Hang Be Market.

The shop is designed with a row of Vietnamese flags outside while the yellow wall inside is decorated with Dong Ho folk paintings. It serves drinks such as egg coffee, tea, juice, and beer.

According to the British Embassy, Rycroft also visited UNESCO heritage site Thang Long Imperial Citadel where he admired Vietnamese historical artifacts. He said he has gained better understanding of the over 1,000 years of Vietnamese history.
