(VOVworld) - UK Ambassador to ASEAN, Moazzam Malik, presented his credentials Friday to ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh. Ambassador Malik conveyed his government’s commitment to further strengthen ties with ASEAN and its member states, and expressed readiness to explore cooperation for mutual benefits. During their meeting, Secretary-General Minh and Ambassador Malik exchanged views on key developments in the region and the world. Earlier, India's first resident Ambassador to ASEAN, Suresh K. Reddy presented his credentials to ASEAN Secretary General Le Luong Minh. Ambassador Reddy said India will work closely with ASEAN to further promote ASEAN-India strategic partnership. Mr. Minh assured the readiness of the ASEAN Secretariat to work closely with Reddy in order to enhance the multifaceted ASEAN-India cooperation and encouraged India to continue to support and contribute to the common endeavor of ASEAN in its Community building by 2015 and beyond.
