(VOVWORLD) - UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Wednesday denounced US President Donald Trump’s threat to take military action to solve Venezuela’s political crisis.

Mr. Guterres said that Latin America is no longer under foreign control and this must be protected.
The statement came after President Trump tweeted last week that Washington may impose a military solution on Venezuela, which provoked strong reactions from Latin American countries.
