UN Security Council to hold emergency meeting on Russia-Ukraine tensions

(VOVworld) – The UN Security Council said Thursday that it will discuss the growing tensions in Crimea after Russia accused Ukraine of plotting attacks on Crimea’s infrastructure.

The Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN has called on the UN to hold consultations on Thursday addressing tensions in Crimea.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko ordered the Foreign Ministry to set up separate telephone conferences with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande on the situation in Crimea.
