US, North Korea continue talks on nuclear-free Korean peninsula
(VOVWORLD) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Pyongyang Sunday to discuss with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un the denuclearization on the Korean peninsula and the establishment of a peace mechanism.
Pompeo’s 4th visit to Pyongyang takes place when the two countries are discussing preparations for the second Trump-Kim summit. He is scheduled to fly to Seoul for a meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha to review North Korea’s visit outcome.
US President Donald Trump earlier said he believed things were going well with North Korea.
