US, North Korea discuss return of soldier remains

(VOVWORLD) - US and North Korean officials met at the truce village of Panmunjom on Sunday for talks about repatriating the remains of US troops killed during the 1950-1953 Korean War, according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.

Delegates discussed when and how to return the remains as well as the denuclearization on the Korean peninsula.

Earlier, three vehicles of the US Forces in Korea on Sunday arrived at the Tongil Bridge near the border around 8:20AM (local time) before heading to Panmunjom. The vehicles are UN-flagged.
