(VOVworld) – US President Barack Obama said he is considering opportunities to deepen cooperation with Vietnam. Obama said trade and security are two cooperative fields to be discussed during his meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at a series of conferences in Myanmar.

In a speech prior to the US-ASEAN summit in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, on Thursday President Obama said Washington will increase investment to ASEAN and boost bilateral relations in coping with global challenges.
He said the US paid attention to the capacity building of individual nations and between nations to generate strength to deal with regional and international challenges. The US commits to work with ASEAN in security, trade, Ebola prevention, education, and natural disaster mitigation.
