(VOVworld) - The White House has rejected the two senators’ suggestions to urge President Barack Obama to consider a new location for the summit of developed and newly emerging economies, G-20, in St. Petersburg, if Moscow continues to allow NSA leaker Edward Snowden to remain in the country.

At a press conference in Washington on Friday, White House spokesperson Jay Carney affirmed President Barack Obama’s plan to be in St. Petersburg in September to attend the G20 chaired by Russia. Carney said the proposals by Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham is not valid and there’s no prospect for the suggestion to be approved at the parliament.
