US, South Korea prepares for Trump-Moon summit

(VOVWORLD) - Senior officials from South Korea and the United States met in Washington on Monday to discuss planning for next week's summit between US President Donald Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

Kim Hyun-chong, deputy chief of the National Security Office, held talks at the White House with US Deputy National Security Adviser Charles Kupperman. The details of the discussions have not been revealed.

US President Donald Trump and South Korean President Moon Jae-in are expected to focus on ways to revive nuclear talks between North Korea and the US and progress toward the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
