US suggests Iran’s ballistic missile test might have violated UN resolution

(VOVworld) – White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Tuesday that there are “strong indications” that Iran’s test of a new precision-guided ballistic missile on Sunday violated a UN Security Council resolution.

Earnest said, however, that such a violation is “entirely separate” from the historic nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1. UN Security Council resolution No. 1929 prohibits Iran from undertaking any activity related to ballistic missiles that could deliver a nuclear warhead.
