USCDC continues to help Vietnam join global health program
(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh visited the US Center for Disease Control (USCDC) this week as part of his visit in the US.
During talks with Vice Director Anne Schuchat, Mr. Minh said despite many difficulties the Vietnamese government is prioritizing investment in public healthcare. But Vietnam still needs cooperation and assistance from international organizations like the USCDC because healthcare is a problem of not only a single country. Ms. Anne Schuchat said her center will continue to help other nations including Vietnam join the global health program and provide Vietnam with consultations on the model and structure of preventive medical units at provincial and district levels.
