Responding to questions on vaccine passports and the resumption of international flights at a press briefing Thursday, Ms. Hang said: “Vietnam has yet to issue specific regulations on entry for individuals vaccinated against COVID-19. Because multiple countries are adopting a vaccine passport policy, Vietnamese agencies are studying the issue. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is partnering with authorities to study the experience of other countries before recommending an entry-exit policy and opening the door to visitors”.

Ms. Hang said Vietnam is working with vaccine producers and suppliers worldwide to obtain more doses and increase vaccination coverage in Vietnam. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is discussing vaccinations for the diplomatic corps, international organisations, and foreign correspondents residing in Hanoi, she said.
