(VOVworld) - Vi and Dam festival concludes yesterday in Nghe An province. 2 first prizes, 4 second and 3 third prizes were presented to artists coming from 22 local art clubs.

Head of Jury Board, Pham Tien Dung spoke of the quality of the festival: "The artists have been aware of their responsibility of preserving vi and dam melodies to younger generations. Some performances with the participation of primary pupils delighted the jury. The festival is significant to educate young people about the folk melodies of vi and dam".

The event is also a preparation to complete the documents to UNESCO for the recognition of Vi and Dam of Nghe Tinh as an Intangible World Heritage.
