(VOV) - Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan on Saturday visited the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Village, President Ho Chi Minh relic, and Vietnamese nationals in Nakhon Phanom province.  Provincial governor Anukun Tangkananukulchai welcomed Doan’s visit which he said will help strengthen cooperative relations between the two countries.  Briefing his guest on the province’s socio-economic development, the governor said with a population of 700,000, Nakhon Phanom has enormous potential for cultural, tourism and education development. The province has famous tourist destinations, including the President Ho Chi Minh relic where the late Vietnamese president lived in 1928-1929. The Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Village has been refurbished to become a tourist spot, receiving crowds of visitors. Vice President Doan praised the fruitful cooperation between Nakhon Phanom and central Vietnamese provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh. She thanked the local administration for building the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Village which houses the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial.
