Vietnam advance to Futsal World Cup knockout stage after draw with Czech Republic
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam secured a spot in the knock-out stage of the Futsal World Cup in Lithuania after a 1-1 draw in the final group game against the Czech Republic on Sunday.

As a draw would be enough to go though, Vietnam clearly had a defensive game plan.
Striker Chau Doan Phat scored for Vietnam in the 35th minute and Czech captain Lukas Resetar equalized just one minute later.
Vietnam’s goal keeper Ho Van Y was voted man of the match.
Vietnam have become the first Asian team to advance to the knock-out stage in two successive World Cups.
The Golden Dragons will take on Russia Football Union at 9:30pm on Wednesday.
