Vietnam attaches importance to cooperation with Kansai region and Japan

(VOVworld) – State president Truong Tan Sang received President of the Kansai region’s Economic Federation Mori Shosuke in Hanoi on Tuesday. Mori, who is currently on a working visit to Vietnam, said he expects Vietnam will establish a representative office in Kansai to learn about Japanese investors’ needs and provide them with information about Vietnam’s investment attraction policy. He added that Japan’s announcement of its plan to join the Trans-pacific Strategic Economic Partnership negotiations with Vietnam will help strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ businesses and others in the region.

President Sang said that Vietnam attaches great importance to cooperation with Japan and the Kansai region and agreed with the proposal to upgrade the economic forum between Vietnam and Kansai. He added that Vietnam is willing to share its experiences in the Trans-pacific Strategic Economic Partnership negotiations with Japan.
