Vietnam attends seminar on corporate social responsibility

(VOVworld) – Vietnam has underlined the need to build international norms of corporate social responsibilities as the country is strongly committed to integrating further into the world and the region. Nguyen Canh Cuong, Commercial Counselor of the Vietnamese Embassy in France, made the statement at a recent seminar on businesses’ social responsibility and fair competition organized by The Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) in Paris. Cuong said the standardization of corporate social responsibilities is one of democratic and civilized tools, contributing developing harmonized markets, improving workers’ living and working conditions and ensuring sustainable development of the entire society.  The seminar provided a forum for studies of the competitive environment between enterprises in relation to social responsibility norms in China, India, Indonesia and Vietnam.
