Governor-General Mason sent greetings to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and announced Barbados’ decision to appoint a non-resident ambassador to Vietnam soon.

She expressed her wish to further promote multi-faceted cooperation with Vietnam, especially in potential fields such as economy, trade, and culture, education, tourism, agriculture, marine resource management and climate change response.

For his part, Ambassador Duyen said that the two sides have a lot of potential for fostering their cooperative relations, suggesting promoting people-to-people exchanges, including the exchange of lecturers and students, and increasing tourism cooperation to introduce the land, people and culture of both Vietnam and Barbados.
