Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day scheduled to begin April 17

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s Book and Reading Culture Day will kick off at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi next Wednesday (April 17), according to Friday’s press conference.

Organizers said, the event, the third of its kind, is expected to feature over 40,000 book titles from 60 publishers, businesses, and technology enterprises. Activities will feature various themes such as “A Precious Book for You”, “A Good Book Needs You”, and “Book Gift”.

Nguyen Nguyen, Director of the Authority of Publication, Printing and Distribution of the Ministry of Information and Communications, said that this year’s theme have one thing in common which is to introduce good books.

"To promote the reading culture, it is essential to consider the different tastes of readers in each region,” he said.

The event will include online book festivals, hybrid book festivals, cashless book fairs, and many communications activities.
