Vietnam condemns Paris attacks

(VOVworld)- On Saturday, the spokesperson for Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry Le Hai Binh said Vietnam strongly condemned brutal attacks against civilians in Paris on Friday.

Binh said Vietnam offered condolences with the French government and people. Vietnam believed that with the efforts that the French government and people are making, the attackers will be promptly punished. The same day, President Truong Tan Sang sent a message of condolences to his French counterpart Francois Hollande over the heavy casualties caused by bloody attacks on civilians in Paris on Friday. Also on November 14, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung extended condolences to his French counterpart Manuel Valls. Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also offered deepest sympathies to French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius on the losses.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh asked the Vietnamese Embassy in France to work with relevant agencies to update information on the safety of Vietnamese people in the attacked sites and take necessary protective measures if any Vietnamese is attacked.
