(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Health has confirmed Vietnam’s first 2 cases of Zika virus infection in Khanh Hoa province and Ho Chi Minh city.

Two patients who have tested positive for the Zika virus at the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology are in stable condition.
Check-ups on the patients’ family members and neighbors have revealed no other infections. Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien in HCM city and Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Long in Khanh Hoa province are mobilizing counter-epidemic measures.
