A discussion on the importance of the Law on the Protection of Consumers’ Rights held as part of activities  marking Vietnam Consumer Rights Day, March 15, 2024.

This year’s theme emphasizes the significance of information for consumer safety in the process of selection, payment, and use of goods and services as well as businesses’ responsibility for providing accurate and timely information to enable consumers to make informed and safe decisions.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan said that the revised Law on the Protection of Consumers’ Rights will come into effect in July, 2024.

“The new law contains many landmark provisions, which are included in Vietnam’s legal system for the first time, to protect consumers’ rights. It has designated March 15 as Vietnam Consumer Rights Day.”
