(VOVworld)- On Friday, in response to reporters’ questions on Vietnam’s reaction to the final judgment on the Philippines- China lawsuit that the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) would make on July 12, spokesperson for Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry Le Hai Binh said Vietnam was informed that the PCA will make a final judgment on July 12, 2016.

As a country that is directly involved in disputes in the East Sea and a member of the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, Vietnam closely follows the development of the lawsuit and hopes the PCA would make a just and objective judgment to create a foundation for peaceful resettlement of disputes in the East Sea. Vietnam reiterates its consistent policy of supporting the peaceful solution to disputes in the East Sea on the basis of international law, supporting and fully abiding by regulations and procedures stipulated in the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
