(VOvworld)- Vietnam Family Year 2013 with the theme “Connecting love” was held in Hanoi on Saturday. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan said the Vietnamese Party and State and society have always paid special attention to building wealthy and happy families. In 2001, the Prime Minister decided to observe June 28 as Vietnam Family Day. Since then several legal documents have been issued to build and promote the values of families. Mr. Nhan said: “The international integration has posed many challenges for the development of Vietnamese families. Vietnam Family Year 2013 is a chance for each of us, each family and agency to review family related affairs and create drastic changes in the development of families in Vietnam”.

The Deputy Prime Minister urged relevant ministries, agencies and localities to actively respond to the theme of this year by implementing the Strategy on Vietnamese family development and focusing on promoting the significance of the event.
