(VOVworld) – A logo for Vietnam – France Year 2013 – 2014 was introduced in Hanoi on Friday to mark the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
Deputy Foreign Minister, Bui Thanh Son, said Vietnam – France Year will help to advance bilateral ties to a strategic partnership level, and create a breakthrough in political, diplomatic, trade, investment, and culture cooperation. Director of the French Institute Sylviane Tarsot-Gillery says: "This is an important event for the two sides to advance cooperation at all levels in all localities. In addition to political and economic exchanges, we agree to attract the public to cultural, educational, scientific and technological events across Vietnam and France. Our bilateral ties surely will flourish in the future."

The new logo features a lotus with many crossed lines in different colours, manifesting the diversity in the bilateral relations and activities to be held during the celebrations.
