Vietnam gives priority to dialogue, reconciliation in addressing conflicts in Congo
(VOVWORLD) - Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese mission to the United Nations, acknowledged efforts by the Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to stabilize the domestic situation and mobilize international cooperation to address security challenges.

At a UN Security Council video conference on Tuesday, Ambassador Quy cited the instability of Congo’s eastern region and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Ebola, and other diseases, and underlined the importance of international support, regional cooperation, and contributions by the African Union and other sub-regional organizations in maintaining peace and stability in Congo.
