Vietnam goes 12 days with no new community transmission of COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam reported no new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday evening, marking twelve straight days without any new community transmission.

There have been 270 cases altogether in the country, of whom 222 have made a full recovery.  Among the 48 still being treated in hospital, 8 previously tested negative but have since tested positive again. 

The total number of people quarantined nationwide stands at more than 45,000.

As of 2p.m. Tuesday, the world had recorded more than 3 million coronavirus infections, more than 210,000 deaths, and more than 810,000 recoveries.
