Vietnam goes all out to contain COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - The health sector is rallying all available resources to stop the spread of COVID-19 and treat patients, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at a meeting with Health Ministry officials on Tuesday ahead of the Lunar New Year.

Mr. Phuc praised health workers working day and night to contain outbreaks in hotbeds like Hanoi, HCM city, Gia Lai and Hai Duong provinces.   

“As the health sector makes an all-out effort on disease prevention and treatment, maximum safety for health workers must be ensured. We must prevent COVID-19 transmissions to health workers and their family members and relatives,” he said. 

Prime Minister Phuc urged the health sector to prepare measures including field hospitals and medical supplies to cope with potential spreading of COVID-19.
