Vietnam’s Association for the Blind has paired up with US organization Maryknoll to implement a project to develop the Association’s information system. This will give visually impaired people across Vietnam the chance to find out more about education, vocational training, jobs, and entertainment, by upgrading the association’s IT system. This will also help to improve blind people’s standards of living blind and help them to integrate into the community. The information portal for blind people will be put into operation later this year. Maryknoll is a humanitarian organization that works in 25 countries and territories including Vietnam. Over the past 20 years in Vietnam, Maryknoll has supported a lot of projects to enhance rehabilitation capacity for disadvantaged people in the northern provinces of Hai Duong, Vinh Phuc, and Nam Dinh.
