(VNA) - Vietnam and India have exchanged views on the current state of global and regional security, regional security structures, and bilateral defence ties. At the 7th Vietnam-India Strategic Defence Dialogue in New Delhi yesterday, Vietnamese Deputy Defence Minister Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh and Indian Defence Secretary Shashi Kant Sharma agreed to strengthen the cooperation between the two ministries within the framework of Vietnam-India Strategic Partnership. At the same day’s reception for Deputy Minister Vinh, Indian Defence Minister AK. Antony and National Security Advisor Shivshankar Menon highlighted the similarities between the two nations in culture, socio-economic development goals, and mutual support in international and regional issues. The leaders expressed their delight at achievements in the strategic defence dialogue adding that bilateral cooperation in all fields should be reinforced. Both sides said they are determined to enforce the agreements reached by the two ministries.
