Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director-General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, talked about preparations for cooperation once the pandemic is controlled and direct flights between the two countries resume.

He said: “It is necessary to promulgate flexible policies on flight delays, cancellations, and refunds. Airlines, hotels and travel companies need specific agreements on sharing information and market data. It is essential to prepare safe tourism corridors after COVID-19”.

Vietnam welcomed approximately 169,000 Indian tourists last year, up 27% from 2018.
