(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang received the Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Haysashi Yoshimasa in Ho Chi Minh city on Wednesday. He hailed Japanese assistance to Vietnamese fishermen in central provinces and in the area of technology transfer and asked Minister Yoshimasa to continue lobbying for more Japanese ODA for Vietnam.

Minister Yoshimasa said his visit was aimed at boosting agricultural cooperation between the two countries. He also praised Vietnam’s policy of resolving issues relating to its maritime sovereignty through peaceful measures in accordance with international law.
