Vietnam joins multilateral naval exercise Komodo in Indonesia
(VOVWORLD) -A Vietnamese naval Ship 09 is participating in the Komodo 2025 Multilateral Naval Exercise (MNEK 2025) that began at Benoa Port, Indonesia, on Sunday.

The 5th Komodo exercise drew 40 warships and approximately 3,000 naval personnel from 37 countries.
The exercise focuses on coordinated search and rescue operations to enhance the collective response to regional contingencies. The Vietnamese delegation will be involved in maritime security seminars, command and staff exercises ashore, drills at sea, and various cultural and sports exchanges.
As part of the exercise, there are public tours of warships, defense exhibitions, engineering civic action programs, community healthcare services, and the 6th International Maritime Security Symposium.
