Vietnam Labor Management Office in RoK debuts

(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Labor Management Office opened in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, on Monday to manage and protect the interests of Vietnamese labors in the Korea.
Vietnamese Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen said at the inaugural ceremony that the operation of the Office and the Labor Management Board under the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK will enhance the cooperation between Vietnamese agencies sending workers abroad and Korean partners receiving workers. Those agencies will support workers in problems and provide information and legal advice.

Vice President of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea Lee Chun Bok praised Vietnam‘s efforts to reduce the number of illegal guest workers in the RoK. He expressed his hope that the two countries will work more closely together to help Vietnam regain the top of 15 countries sending labors to the RoK.
The Vietnam Labor Management Office under the Employment Permit System (EPS) program is a representative of the Center for Overseas Labor.
